Description of the problem | Events last week, one of our 2005 silverado's (has 40,000 miles), while driving on the interstate had a serious tire blow out. It tore completely apart. We have pictures to document the condition of the tire. The rim of the truck was damaged because of the tire blow out. After the tire blew out, the truck was completely on the rim. Luckily, the driver was not injured. This was a very serious incident, but he was able to pull onto the shoulder and not damage the truck any further. The tire was a bridgestone dueler a/t. Under the select tire size the correct information is 26570r17. I was unable to put this information in that box. Failure the tire blew out. What was done to correct the failure we had the rim repaired and the 4 tires replaced. |
