Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chevrolet silverado. While driving various speeds, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the steering column. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the steering column was greased, but the issue recurred. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering shaft bolt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
