Description of the problem | While braking hard for a turn i came up on quickly, and as i approached slower speeds, the anti lock braking system completely released allowing the truck to surge forward. I was just beginning my turn and i believe there was a small amount of sand on the roadway that caused a wheel to slide momentarily but all the brakes released in a manner that could have caused an accident if there was a vehicle in front of me. The truck moved forward for a full 2 seconds prior to the brakes re-engaging. The brakes did not immediately reapply as you would expect a properly working system to behave. It wasn't the rapid application you get like when your on ice. The condition has not repeated itself to date although i have not tried to recreate the same conditions either. |
