Description of the problem | Narrowly avoided 2 low speed rear end collisions when abs activated at low speed (less than 10 mph) when approaching other stopped vehicles at intersections. The abs has activated 6 times, intermittently for the past 3 months. Luckily, there were no other cars present on the other 4 occasions. Weather/road conditions were always good with dry roads. Temps. Varied from cold, <32 deg. F to seasonal 40-60 deg. F i have researched the tsb on this item and it is consistent with recalls on earlier chevrolet models, yet, gm refuses to issue a recall on this safety critical item. Dealer refused to pay for repairs as i am past the warranty period for this vehicle (41,000+ miles, model year 2005). Problem has not been corrected yet. |
