Description of the problem | I was driving 55 mph on a state highway when the engine started revving up. The transmission quit while driving down the highway with only 63,000 miles the transmission would engage but would slip out of gear around 45 mph the dealer replaced the transmission at a cost of $2700. Took 3 days 18000 miles later driving down a country road the transmission quit again. I was able to limp it home (60 miles) in first gear. The dealer said it was a rare occurence. The dealer rebuilt the transmission free of charge but it took 11 days the dealer said forward spring assembly broke? |
