Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2005 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the speedometer would malfunction intermittently. While driving 20 mph, the speedometer would indicate that she was driving 60 mph. When the vehicle would be parked, the speedometer would indicate that the vehicle was being driven at 120 mph. The failure would usually correct itself or reset after a couple of hours; however, it recently became stuck and failed to reset. The dealer could not assist because the vehicle was outside of the warranty. The manufacturer has not been notified. The current mileage was approximately 64,000 and failure mileage was approximately 63,800. |
