Description of the problem | Red check airbag light is on constantly. All repair shops indicate that there have been many more, and the expense for repair would run from $450. 00 to $1,000. 00. It seems that gm already knows about this malfunction, since there are many other reports. Since the light is on, the airbag will not work in the event of a crash. It would seem that gm would repair these immediately unless they want another ignition switch catastrophe. It shouldn't take someone dying as a result of this malfunction to get gm to act. As of now, my airbag will not inflate in the event of a crash. |
