Description of the problem | I noticed the car's (2017 chevrolet impala) a/c was blowing hot air while stationary and in motion. I took it in for an a/c check. Per the chevrolet dealership's service advisor, there is an evaporator core leak into dashboard. Gm has released two special overage bulletins (n182186880 & n182186881) identifying the issue and the year, make, and model (2016-2018 impalas 3. 6). Also, per this bulletin, it stated it identified the vins this impacted, but i have the same issue and car. It does not state why some impalas were not selected. But different forums on the internet, show there are more impalas and their owners who have this same issue. See https://www. Impalaforums. Com/threads/evaporator-replacement. 1841471/ . Due to volume of other complaints, i believe this should be a national recall. This is a safety issue especially during the summer months. |
