 Description of the problemWhile driving on a freeway i started to hear a loud knocking (diesel sound). I pulled off at nearest exit to check engine oil, due to using excessive amounts. Sure enough it was completely out of oil. I'm consistent on oil changes, and it's still needing oil in between changing. So i added 4 quarts of oil but the noise did not go away. I was 3. 5 hours away from home with my children in the car. I started to check into this problem and seems i am not the only one with this exact issue. I owe on it still, now i'm going to need a whole new engine. To my surprise there is no recall for my engine with my vin number so now i'm suppose to buy it out of pocket! Not only that i now need to find a vehicle i can drive to work. Living in rural mn i drive a lot, i thought i was buying a reliable vehicle with decent gas mileage. After reading all the complaints i feel i'd be better off buying a ford or dodge truck. I need 4
