Description of the problem	Driving in heavy rain. Switched windshield wipers from intermittent to high. Wipers cleared windshield once, then suddenly stopped all the way up, leaving me completely blind in the dark in a heavy storm on a busy freeway. Wipers would no longer function. Eventually pulled over, checked fuses/relays, etc. Could hear the wiper motor working. Pulled off cowl and found wiper motor had disconnected from the linkage. Was able to temporarily fix this by running a bolt through this connection point.
