Description of the problem | Driving in heavy rain. Switched windshield wipers from intermittent to high. Wipers cleared windshield once, then suddenly stopped all the way up, leaving me completely blind in the dark in a heavy storm on a busy freeway. Wipers would no longer function. Eventually pulled over, checked fuses/relays, etc. Could hear the wiper motor working. Pulled off cowl and found wiper motor had disconnected from the linkage. Was able to temporarily fix this by running a bolt through this connection point. |
