Description of the problem | Engine needed to be replaced due to excessive oil burning and subsequent metal fragments. Car was not included in notice of excessive oil consumption from chevy nor was it included in recent class action suit. Oil changes were performed as required. Owner was never informed of excessive oil consumption issue. Low oil warning light never came on. Owner was stalled on busy road while heading to repair shop to find out why the car was chugging. This stall became a safety issue for owner and other cars on the road. Cost of repair was $7793. 44. Chevrolet corporation refused to assist with cost. |
