Description of the problem | Engine control module (ecm) keeps going out. Had to replace it twice in 1 year and possibly again soon. The car would start, it would shake a little bit while driving through the city, the ac would stop working as well. If i made frequent stops (running errands) it would eventually not start again. I would have to let it sit for about an hour before i could get it to start again. Dealership identified that it was the ecm but can't figure out why it keeps burning out. So far the warranty has covered this but now it does not. The car had 9000 miles on it when i bought it. |
