Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. While driving less than 5 mph, the accelerator pedal fractured without warning. The vehicle surged forward and crashed into a tree. The vehicle was coasted back onto the street and parked. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who indicated that the driver side floormat caused the failure.
