Description of the problem | Vehicle riding normal and suddenly starts decelerating. Pushing on gas pedal only makes car slow quicker. Has occurred 3 times on interstate highways and once on city streets. Have been back to dealer 3 times under warranty with no fix. Car has 33,175 miles and dealer wants $99 to "drive it around and see if they can determine the cause". To resume driving you must stop, shift into neutral, and give enging a bit of gas. Then you can resume driving normally. I shifted into neutral while driving, but again when i pushed accelerator the speed dropped faster again. The electronics give no codes or lights and 3 occurrences were at highway speed of 60 mph with no room to maneuver over to side of road. Today i nearly had multiple cars behind me crash as they braked or swerved to miss me. Dealer is marhoferchevrolet in stow, ohio. |
