Description of the problem | My car was part of the ignition switch recall in 2014. For the past week, whenever i park the car i can not get the key out of the ignition. The dealership explained that the problem is being caused by the shifter not communicating to the car that it's in "park" so it won't release the key. They also told me that since my car has 55,000 miles, the repair will not be covered under warranty because it's electrical and considered part of the "trim". They informed me that the repair would be in excess of $600. 00. I am extremely unhappy because i can't afford this repair and this is my only mode of transportation. The car is pretty much un-drivable at this point unless i want to get stuck somewhere. |
