Description of the problem | Radio shuts off randomly during driving city streets and at highway speeds. Blowers will sometimes shut off when the radio turns off. Dash lights also flicker 5-10 times when radio shuts off and after turning the car off. When pulling the key from the ignition, speakers pop loudly. Extremely distracting and dangerous. No issue with battery or alternator. Gm says they don't know about the issue, however there are multiple videos on youtube and forums online of this issue. Apparently there's a possible solution by cutting the 18th wire, furthest white wire to the left behind the stereo face plate. This problem needs to be recalled. |
