Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that the vehicle was unoccupied and the front center console and wiring became completely burnt. In addition, the entire vehicle was engulfed with black smoke. There were no flames present. The fire department extinguished the interior of the vehicle. On a separate occasion, the vehicle stalled without warning but was able to be restarted. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v346000 (electrical system). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,800. |
