Description of the problem | We were driving along in the dead of winter and noticed there was no heat. We hooked it up to a code reader and it came up p0128 a thermostat housing fault. Brought it in to get checked and it is the thermostat housing and the service center employees all knew this a known failure on this vehicle. The out of pocket cost 160. 00 for part only from chevy not including labor. The new one is metal not plastic like the one that rolled out of the factory, so this must be a consumer paid recall. Which should be against the law. If you make a faulty part that fails you should pay for it. Just ask toyota, they are. |
