Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chevrolet aveo. The contact was attempting to accelerate 15 mph from a traffic stop when the vehicle exhibited an unusually loud grumbling noise before stalling. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle then exhibited the same noise before stalling a second time. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who advised that the retensioner belt was fractured and spew shards of metal throughout the engine area.
