Description of the problem | I have a 2005 aveo ls just purchased 21 days ago. The instrument panel lights no longer work. The intermittently would come on and go off, but now do not work at all. Took to a mechanic and he initially replaced the dimmer switch because it was burnt. However, that did not solve the problem. After further investigation, he says that the purple wire leading to the splice pack has burned. In trying to obtain the part, chevrolet will only sell the entire splice pack; to the tune of $5,100!!! After researching online, i have found hundreds of people with the exact same problem. No there hasn't been a fire yet! |
