Description of the problem	I was on the highway on my way to pick up my son. I felt the accelerator "clunk" and noticed when i entered the exit ramp that i was not slowing down. I applied the brake and as suspect the engine whined due to both brake and accelerator being pushed at the same time. I place it in neutral and came to a stop. I applied the parking brake and tried to dislodge the acceleration pedal. It didn't seem to move but when i put the car back into drive the problem had been remedied. I'm so happy that my son was not in the car and that i was on the highway and not in the city!
