Description of the problem	Last week several cracks appeared in the dash around the passenger side airbag in my low mileage, garaged 2008 avalanche. Upon researching the issue i found that it is a well know defect with dashes in 2007 to 2013 chevy trucks and that gm refuses to help those who experience the cracking. I am very fearful of the injuries that the shattered plastic would cause to the front seat passengers should the airbag deploy, so i have no other choice but to pay up to fix the gm issue. Gm, if not willing to defray the entire cost, should offer a substantial rebate for the repair.
