Description of the problem | Dim headlights have become increasingly dim to the point i can hardly see the road at night. I don't have the moisture that others have reported. I have researched more about this online and found that the dimming is caused by the heat of the halogen bulbs deteriorating the reflective material in the head light housing. Specifically the hella projection capsule used for the low beam. This deterioration is a slow process and goes unnoticed until finally it becomes to obvious to ignore. This is an ongoing issue reported by thousands of people. This is a defective part that gm refuses to acknowledge. When i talked the my local cadillac dealer they pretend to be oblivious about this problem. |
