Description of the problem | Recently noticed that while driving at night, low beam lighting is virtually nonexistent making it extremely unsafe to drive in darkness. A letter dated 2/28/20 regarding this exact issue was received but only gave until 5/28/20 to file a claim. I hadn't noticed any issues at that time and, due to covid-19, wasn't driving enough, and certainly at night, to notice this issue until recently. So, now there is no recourse with gm. Called gm customer service today and got the "tough luck" message back - "you missed the deadline". This is a serious safety issue that should have been addressed as a safety recall, not a legal claim limited to a 90-day window during a lockdown. Pathetic reflection on gm. |
