Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 cadillac escalade. While driving approximately 55 mph on normal road conditions, the vehicle came to a stop and the gear shifter was placed into reverse. The reverse mode, tilt down exterior mirrors failed to operate. In addition, the vehicle failed to respond when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle lurched forward unexpectedly. The failures occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer for inspection and they stated that there was no program available to repair the reverse mirror failure. They could not determine the cause of the other failures. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 25,000 and current mileage was 45,000. |
