Description of the problem | The rear seat head restraints do not raise to the standard recommended by 49 cfr 571. They can be lifted to 26 inches, not 27 1/2 inches min. As the standard recommends which renders them not safe for full size adults. As a result, many passengers refuse to sit there, rendering my "sut" 5-seater to be a 2-seater vehicle. The restraints are also not lockable. Thank you for the attention to this matter. I would like to have this condition fixed. Cadillac recognizes that all their escalade exts are the same but refuses to acknowledge that they are not standard and need fixing.
