Description of the problemDriver stopped vehicle preparing to park, placed it in "park" and proceeded to turn ignition into "off" position. The key was firmly locked in the "run" position and would not turn to "off" or any other position. After trying to turn key for several minutes, driver called gm/sewell - cadillac service department for instruction to turn the vehicle off. The service department could not provide any solutions that worked over the phone. The vehicle had to be shut off at the service department. After the initial incident there were a number of other incidents including key hard to turn in ignition, numerous occasions of power loss throughout systems in vehicle. The vehicle has been taken the sewell cadillac many times for these safety issues. A number of calls have been made to gm also about the vehicle and its defective nature. I firmly believe that this vehicle should be included in the ignition recalled vehicles.
