Description of the problem | Noticed excessive exhaust fumes inside the car while at idle during stops. All windows up during winter season driving. Inspected exhaust system for leaks. Noticed exhaust manifold bolts on both sides of engine missing and subsequent leaks at each exhaust port with missing bolts. Noticed excessive rusting and corrosion of exhaust manifold and bolts. This seems to be caused by a metal defect creating premature corrosion of exhaust manifolds and bolts. Intern, causing exhaust leaks and excessive amounts of exhaust gases under hood an in the cabin. This is a major safety concern to me and my family. Please investigate. |
