Description of the problem	When driving at low speed, the power steering goes out. It requires me to completely stop and manually turn the wheel which is very difficult. There is continue knocking at any speed when making turns. This has been a continual problem for almost 6 months and is getting worse. The car is out of warranty, but after reviewing further online, there is a pending class action suit for this issue. I called gm direct and they said they have received this complaint several times but there are no recalls. As a mother of small children, i am afraid to continue to drive my car for fear of wrecking or being hit with this issue. It is sad that gm will not act on this issue and stand behind their vehicles. If there has been numerous complaints and a class action suit, why will gm not act upon this. Does there have to be more deaths occur to get their attention. The cost of replacing the steering rack and pump is very expensive and should not be at the cost of the consumer for a manufacturer defect. Extremely disappointed.
