Description of the problem | Same issue as described in nhtsa investigation pe 10-020 "sticky steering" occurs during periods of high ambient temperatures. The car darts and wanders. It is extremely disconcerting and requires constant attention. An increased steering effort typically occurs when the steering wheel is at the center position and thedriver attempts to make small steering adjustments. This is not a one time incident so "approximate incident date" is inappropriate. It is constant. Also not sure why the investigation you conducted lists only '03-05 when it clearly states in the investigation that bmw did not fix the problem until july 2006. My car is a 2006 with a june 2006 build date, just prior to the fix of the acknowledged problem. |
