Description of the problem | Exhaust gas recirculation (egr) cooler recall (recall campaign number 18v-755); recall came out in oct 2018; was first notified by bmw the end of dec 2018; as 0f 6jan19, no remedy for a potential fiery time bomb. I emailed both the gm and service manager (ron [xxx] & steve [xxx]) 3jan19, at bmw silver spring, where i purchased the vehicle new, and have it serviced annually, expressing my worry and urgently inquiring when i could get the remedy repair in place. I have not heard a response. The car is like new with less than six thousand miles on it. I spent close to $75k new and should not have to be nervous driving it and it seems to me that 4 months is too long for a remedy. How can i get the remedy in place quickly or expect a new replacement? Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6). |
