Description of the problem | on 6/10/2014, i drove my 2007 audi a4 a few miles to a local business and parked. On attempting to restart the car i found that the ignition key spun in the ignition cylinder assembly. It took approximately two minutes of spinning and light pushing for key the mechanism to reengaged, and the car to restart. During the time the key was spinning it was fully engaged with the lock, but spun in-place with the engine not starting. Took car to certified audi dealer on 6/16 for diagnosis and the recommendation to replace the ignition cylinder assembly. Contacted audi of america on 6/30 regarding safety incident.
