Description of the problem	2004 audi a4. Engine started making noise. Took to dealer for service and fuel filter was replaced. Seemed to be fixed, two weeks later on new year's eve we were driving to a party when the car started making noise again and then stalled and all power was lost. Luckily we avoided getting in an accident. Had it towed to dealer who informed us it was a failed fuel pump. Apparently this has been a major issue with audi a4s, and a recall was issued for 2003 fuel pumps. 2004 fuel pump obviously also has defects as i've seen numerous complaints and an investigation was opened previously.
