Description of the problem | When attempting to pass, the vehicle will have over a one second delay before it will downshift. This has led to numerous dangerous situations where rapid acceleration was necessary. This will happen whether on a city or highway street. It does not matter what mode of drive is selected, such as sport, or sport plus. I can most easily describe what happens as a dropping sensation in your stomach, and a sensation in your neck where you anticipate the car to "jump forward", yet nothing happens for over 1 second. It is quite disconcerting! I have brought this back to the dealership on three occasions and had two repairs done under warranty, and i paid for two portions of the visits. From researching the internet, this is a very common problem for this model of acura. |
